4.3.3  The Pedestal and Its Contents

The sphere of the zodiac was the first orb to be created inside the Isotropic Orb; so called because it contains no stars yet nor any distinguishing features as it is homogeneous in all directions, but its surface was divided by human convention into the twelve equal parts that are traditionally assigned to the various zodiacal constellations, as in Table 4.1. According to the diagram in Figure 4.6 and Ibn al-Arabi’s comments on it in chapter 371 of the Meccan Revelations, it is evident that he was aware of the large distances between the galaxies because the Moon mansions are in our galaxy while the zodiac constellations are other galaxies placed very far away. In this vast space, Allah created the seven paradisaical Gardens, as named in the Quran and Hadith, with their different states and levels marking the symbolic “meeting-place” between the purely spiritual realities of the divine Throne and the sensible realities in the realm of the Pedestal. The specific names of each of the Seven Gardens are taken from related verses in the Quran and Hadith, and they are different from the Seven Heavens or Skies which are, for Ibn al-Arabi, the same seven celestial spheres where the five known planets plus the Moon and the Sun are revolving, as shown in Figures 4.7 and 4.6. The Gardens are actually eight, but the eighth, called: al-Waseela (the Connection), is a special rank included throughout these Seven Gardens whose names appear in the figure.

The reason why the pedestal is depicted in Figure 4.6 as a square is because of the effect of the quadratic rule of Nature, so the four sides of the square correspond to the four elements earth, water, air, and fire which shape everything below the pedestal and give it its physical properties. However, the four elements here are not the same compound elements such as earth or water, but they are the four fundamental space-time structures:,,, and, which will be explained further in chapter VI.

Figure 4.6: The Pedestal and what it contains down to the orbs of Star Constellations, or the twenty-eight Lunar Mansions that will be depicted in Figure 4.7. The reason why the pedestal is depicted here as a square is due to the effect of the quadratic rule of Nature, as it will be discussed further in chapter VI.

Table 4.7: The twelve Zodiac Constellations, which are the galaxies beyond the Star Constellations that form the twenty-eight Lunar Mansions that are described in Table 4.2. Ibn al-Arabi explained, however, that these constellations are only some human convention, which do not necessarily relate to the actual positions of those particular stars [III.37.27].

Message from the Author:

I have no doubt that this is the most significant discovery in the history of mathematics, physics and philosophy, ever!

By revealing the mystery of the connection between discreteness and contintuity, this novel understanding of the complex (time-time) geometry, will cause a paradigm shift in our knowledge of the fundamental nature of the cosmos and its corporeal and incorporeal structures.

Enjoy reading...
