A hidden source contribution must explain more than missing mass in one orbit. Comparing DTT with ΛCDM cosmology, this article calculates an illustrative enclosed dynamical mass, separates clustered matter from a smooth vacuum component, and identifies the joint lensing and cosmological requirements for a source-based account of effective geometry.
Dark matter is inferred through a combination of gravitational phenomena, including dynamics, lensing and cosmological structure. Within ΛCDM it is represented by a largely pressureless component with specified perturbation behaviour. A change in geometry or gravity can imitate some of those effects, but a successful alternative must reproduce several observables with one consistent rule.
SMM/DTT can explore whether retained temporal structure produces effective gravitational sources or modifies the relation between matter and geometry. That is a possible research direction, not a consequence of calling the vacuum generative. In particular, a homogeneous vacuum component with w=−1 does not automatically behave like clustered cold matter. The distinction between an extra source and a modified response matters because they can predict different lensing, growth and environmental dependencies. [2] [3]
The Single Monad Model begins with one nonspatial generative source. The Duality of Time Theory distinguishes the source’s inner production from the outer order in which completed records become accessible. Its six inner levels are nested functional roles of one process: a higher role organizes lower-level work. The seventh is the completion or observation interface. They are neither six independent clocks nor six additional time coordinates.
This distinction supplies a useful research question: which features of an observed world can follow from the way a source produces, retains and releases information? A concrete answer needs a state space, an autonomous update, retained memory and a rule connecting completion to an accessible measurement. In the constructions discussed here, those mathematical ingredients are stated explicitly. A successful finite example establishes what its specified mechanism can do; further arguments connect it to physical particles, spacetime or universal laws. [1]
ΛCDM is a quantitative cosmological model combining a cosmological constant, cold dark matter, ordinary matter, radiation and specified primordial perturbations. Its parameters are inferred jointly from observations through dynamical evolution and transfer functions. A successful fit to cosmic expansion and structure does not by itself identify the microscopic nature of dark matter or explain the small observed vacuum energy. The Planck 2018 analysis is used here as a named, dated benchmark for the model’s predictive organization.
DTT can be an underlying proposal for why such an effective cosmology arises, or it can become an alternative cosmology if it changes the equations or initial conditions. Those are different tasks. To make the second claim, a source model needs distances, redshifts, physical clocks and perturbation observables calculated from one consistent solution. Matching a single constant or a qualitative picture of continual creation cannot replace the simultaneous constraints on expansion, lensing and structure. Conversely, reproducing ΛCDM as a limit could be a useful result even before a distinct observational correction is established. [2]
ΛCDM uses cold dark matter to connect early perturbation growth, large-scale structure and gravitational lensing within one cosmological solution. DTT could supply a microscopic origin for the dark component or attempt to replace it with effective geometry. Those routes face the same cross-scale observations but have different dynamical requirements.
The orbital mass calculation alone cannot choose between them. It constrains a gravitational field under specified symmetry and force-law assumptions, while ΛCDM’s stronger claim is joint consistency across many systems and epochs. A DTT alternative needs an equally coherent relation between its source variables and observables. If a memory density produces an effective halo, the same parameters should determine its formation, evolution and lensing rather than be fitted independently in every galaxy. If the proposal instead generates dark particles, their abundance and perturbations become the key questions. This comparison is useful because it preserves the source programme’s unifying goal while avoiding the inference that one successful rotation curve has replaced the cosmological role of dark matter. The added result must constrain several observables together. [2] [3]
For a circular orbit in a Newtonian, approximately spherical gravitational field, v²=GM(<r)/r. Use an illustrative speed of 200 kilometres per second at radius 10 kiloparsecs. Converting r to 3.086×10²⁰ metres gives M≈1.85×10⁴¹ kilograms, or about 9.3×10¹⁰ solar masses. This is the enclosed dynamical mass demanded by those inputs within the assumed law.
The calculation does not determine how much of that mass is dark; that requires an independent inventory of luminous and other ordinary matter. A modified-gravity model can change the inference, but must then calculate light deflection and the surrounding systems under the same parameters. A DTT explanation that assigns an effective mass to source memory needs a stress-energy or metric rule that delivers these independent effects. Fitting the orbit alone leaves a degeneracy between the source distribution and the law of gravity. The usefulness of the benchmark is that it identifies the measurable quantity and the assumption responsible for the inference. [2] [3]
Newtonian circular motion and spherical symmetry are assumed. The example is not a claim about a particular observed galaxy.
The strongest source-based proposal would tie any apparent missing mass to independently measurable properties of retained records or geometry, with no separate adjustment for each system. Cosmological perturbations then supply an additional test: the same degrees of freedom must seed or support structure in the early universe. This cross-scale requirement distinguishes an explanatory alternative from a flexible re-description of individual gravitational observations. [2] [3]
