In 1966, Edward Nelson suggested a classical derivation and interpretation of Schroedinger’s wave equation by analogy with Brownian motion. More recent work on the stochastic interpretation has been done by M. Pavon. An alternative stochastic interpretation was also developed by Roumen Tsekov.
